Dr․ Christian Goebbert

Christian Göbbert is Chief Science Officer and Vice President of R&D at Acuriant, where he leads the company’s global technology innovation roadmap across ceramic and polymeric membrane platforms. With more than 20 years in membrane science, Christian combines deep materials-science expertise with hands-on experience designing, scaling and optimizing membrane systems for municipal and industrial applications.He began his career at ItN Nanovation, working on nanoparticle synthesis and functional coatings, before joining the team that built Nanostone’s ceramic membrane technology from the ground up. Based in Halberstadt, Germany, he oversaw major advancements in ceramic manufacturing automation, process control and product performance. Under his leadership, Acuriant’s Nanostone ceramic line expanded this year from a single module into a three-product portfolio engineered for diverse and challenging water conditions.Christian holds a PhD in materials science and works closely with end users, engineering partners and research institutions to turn scientific innovation into robust, application-driven membrane solutions.
