13 Agreements Enhancing Local and International Partnerships on Day Two of IDWS
During day two of the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference (IDWS 2025), thirteen cooperation agreements and memorandum of understanding were signed between government entities, private-sector organizations, and international companies.
The Saudi Water Authority (SWA) concluded several agreements focused on education and training, sustainability enhancement, and support for innovation and entrepreneurship.
The agreements included cooperation with AWS in the field of sustainable water management awareness, another with Toray to implement a specialized training diploma, an agreement with ABB to develop educational programs, an agreement with BW WATER to support academic qualifications, an agreement with the Saudi Accreditation Center to strengthen the regulation of water services, and an agreement with GASCO to improve tanker management.
The signed agreements also included cooperation with GI Aqua Tech to enable innovation and incubation programs, Al-Tamimi Energy to support business accelerators, and Spectromarine to study an innovative technology for improving water quality.
Additional agreements were signed with Al-Kharif Water Technologies to enhance service sustainability, INP Sharq Al-Awsat to develop professional career pathways in cooperation with the Water Academy, and KSB Arabia to support the sustainability of sector services. In addition, Italmatch and IntelliSense signed a joint agreement to develop AI-based solutions aimed at improving desalination processes and integrating advanced chemical technologies.
IDWS continues to serve as a key platform for showcasing innovative solutions, exchanging expertise, and strengthening strategic partnerships within the water sector. With events running until December 10th, further initiatives and additional agreements are expected to be announced, contributing to sector development and enhancing efficiency and sustainability.
