Walid Khoury is a member of the 2024-25 Board of Trustees for the Water Environment Federation (WEF), an international organization based in Alexandria, Va. He is the founder and CEO of Desalytics, established in 2020 to tackle water challenges in sub-Saharan Africa. With over 22 years in the water industry, Khoury has held leadership positions at Fortune 500 companies like GE and Danaher. A strong advocate for diversity, Khoury promotes women's empowerment in the water sector, believing it enhances innovation and addresses community needs. He is a recognized speaker and thought leader, frequently invited to global water industry conferences. Khoury holds a master's degree in management from Harvard University, as well as degrees in Water and Environment Engineering and Water Sciences from Saint Joseph University.
