Dr. Gang Yi

Dr. Gang Yi currently serves as the R&D Technical Director for Seawater Desalination Membranes at OriginWater. He obtained his PhD in Environmental Engineering from Dalian University of Technology in 2020 and was Postdoc at Beijing Normal University during 2021 to 2023. His research primarily focuses on the development and production of advanced Nanofiltration and Reverse Osmosis membranes. Dr. Yi has published approximately 20 papers in various journals and conference proceedings. In response to the strategic needs associated with seawater resources, Dr. Yi leads a desalination research group that has developed a series of high-performance seawater membranes, which have been widely implemented in numerous large-scale desalination projects, significantly contributing to the sustainable development of marine economies. Additionally, Dr. Yi is an active member of the Young Expert Committee on Desalination and Water Reuse within the Oceanology Society of China.
