Dr. Abraham Negaresh is an experienced process engineer with over 16 years of experience in water production, engineering consulting, and applied research. He currently serves as the Associate Director- Desalination and Reuse Lead at the Water Research Centre (WRc). His expertise encompasses a wide range of municipal and industrial water treatment projects in the UK and Australia. He focuses on desalination and water reuse technologies for domestic consumption and industrial end-users, particularly hydrogen production. Dr. Negaresh previously held the role of technical manager for the UK's only large-scale desalination plant, where he oversaw operations, optimisation, and maintenance of the plant and provided technical and strategic advice to senior managers. Abraham holds a PhD focused on industrial water recycling and reuse using membrane technology, aiming at the beneficial reuse of treated water and brine in the Australian context. He is actively involved in industry training and capacity building, offering expertise in water quality management, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment, including his leadership in water recycling and reuse courses.
