Dr. Dong Suk Han is an Associate Professor at Qatar University's Center for Advanced Materials and the Department of Chemical Engineering, also serving as a Graduate Faculty in the Material Science and Technology Program. He earned his PhD in Zachry Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M University, USA, in 2009. Dr. Han specializes in the Water-Energy nexus, focusing on nanomaterials and physical/chemical technologies such as adsorption/membrane separation, (photo)electrochemistry, resource recovery, and advanced oxidation/reduction processes. His research has garnered support from prominent entities including Qatar University, U.S. Department of Energy, US Geological Survey, Qatar National Research Foundation, Qatar Fertilizer Company, Qatar Shell GTL, Acciona, Qatar Electricity and Water Company, and Korea Agency for Infrastructure Technology Advancement, and Korea Water Cluster. Dr. Han is an Editor at "Desalination and Water Treatment," an Editorial Board Member of "Desalination," and an Associate Editor of "Frontiers in Chemistry".
