Professor of Chemistry and Director of the Centre for Energy and Environmental Sustainability Research at the University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The Chair-elect, American Chemical Society Nigeria International Chemical Science Chapter. She leads a multidisciplinary team of researchers and scientists working on water quality data analytics, nature-based solutions and emerging contaminants of global concern. She obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Loughborough University, United Kingdom in 2005 after which she proceeded to the United Nations University, Tokyo, Japan for two professional courses, in International Co-operation and Development, as well as Environmental Change: Managing Risks. In 2007, she was awarded the Korean Government postdoctoral fellowship at International Environmental Research Institute, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Republic of Korea. She received another fellowship award from the Schlumberger Foundation through the Faculty for the Future Programme. In 2017, She was awarded a commonwealth professional fellowship by the government of United Kingdom where she shadowed the Research and Innovation Office at Lancaster University. Through the visibility of her publications on emerging contaminants of global concern, Prof. Inam was invited to join the African regional expert team on Global Chemicals Outlook 11 under the auspices of the United Nations Environment Programme, Switzerland She has authored/co-authored over 70 research articles in high impact scientific journals (Link to publications ), has presented over 40 conference papers locally and at international conferences. She has graduated 50 graduate students and attracted over 300,000USD in grants.
