Mr. Manuel Hidalgo is a seasoned MSc in Chemistry and MSc in Environmental Management and Control with over 25 years of international experience in the water sector. He has led different projects across the world, possessing a proven track record of accomplishments and having dealt with all type of public & private stakeholders, including government entities, multilateral institutions, regulators, industries, contractors, consultants, universities and research centers. Mr. Hidalgo’s experience spans the full value chain and life project cycle in the water industry, including desalination, water and wastewater treatment, reuse and recycling, all in compliance with local and international regulations and best practices. Holding over twenty years of work experience in the MENA region (twelve in the KSA), he has a thorough understanding of the water sector, having worked with government organizations, private companies, and regulatory authorities across the region. Mr. Hidalgo is currently employed by the Royal Commission for Al Ula as Environmental Inspections Manager and works as freelance consultant in water-related projects. Formerly, he served in companies like Veolia, Parsons, BeeA'h, and Marafiq in the KSA. He is a regularspeaker at water-related conferences, workshops, seminars, and trainings around the world.
