Prof. Chunhai Wei

Dr. Chunhai Wei is a Professor at Department of Municipal Engineering, School of Civil Engineering and Transportation, Guangzhou University. He has a PhD in Environmental Science and Engineering from Tsinghua University and 10-year oversea research experience in INSA Toulouse, the University of Tokyo, and King Abdullah University of Science and Technology. His expertise is membrane technology for water treatment, including anaerobic/aerobic membrane bioreactor (MBR) and membrane aerated biofilm reactor for wastewater treatment and resource recovery, micro/ultra-filtration for drinking water and tertiary wastewater treatment, nano-filtration and reverse osmosis for seawater desalination and industrial wastewater reuse. He has published 40+ papers in top journals including Journal of Membrane Science, Separation and Purification Technology, Desalination, Bioresource Technology, Water Research, Chemical Engineering Journal, Journal of Hazardous Materials, with H index of 20. As an early MBR pilot investigator, he made key contributions to the first full-scale MBR for municipal wastewater treatment in China.
