Dr. Hugues Preud'homme is a distinguished senior expert affiliated with CNRS, renowned for his contributions to environmental science and analytical chemistry. His early academic trajectory is marked by the prestigious Otto Hutzinger Prize (Dioxin 2002). Dr Preud’homme reached a notable milestone includes 47 scientific papers, or several patents in produced water and well monitoring. In 2003, he established a new high-resolution laboratory, further advancing the field with his work on metal speciation. He later served as the operational manager for advanced research facilities at the IPREM institute. From 2012, Dr. Preud'homme lent his analytical expertise to the Qatar Ministry laboratories, concurrently working on geological storage projects. His contributions to analytical chemistry continued in QEERI, with the establishment of the first mass spectrometry environmental center. In 2017, he played a pivotal role in designing the new research building IPREM2. Most recently, Dr. Preud'homme was involved in defining a reference olive oil laboratory in Algeria, and developping IMS and ICPMSMS applications. This remarkable career over two decades, reflects his unwavering commitment to emerging environmental questions through innovative analytical techniques and non-target screening.
