"Professor Wenhai Chu is a doctoral supervisor and the deputy director of a national key laboratory, recognized as a National Distinguished Young Scholar. His research focuses on water quality risk identification and control. He has published 150 papers in top journals and holds over 30 domestic and international patents. He has played a significant role in developing 15 national and local water quality standards and technical guidelines, and has received five awards from national ministries and the Shanghai municipal government. In addition, he serves as the secretary-general of the IWA Disinfection Specialist Committee, vice-chair of the IWA China Young Professionals Committee, and is a deputy editor for two international journals."
