"Ms. Jaehyang (“Jae”) So is the Chair of the TEC (Technical Committee) and member of the Steering Committee of the Global Water Partnership, a global action network with over 2,800 partner organizations in 179 countries working towards a water secure world. As TEC Chair, Jae is leading the innovation concepts related to Integrated Water Resources Management to strengthen climate change responses in countries. Jae worked for thirty years at the World Bank Group on a range of development topics, from infrastructure, water, urban development, gender, and public private partnerships. She led several partnership programs, including the Water and Sanitation Program (WSP) and Korea Green Growth Trust Fund. As Director, Trust Funds and Partnerships, Jae continued to strengthen the World Bank’s corporate and fiduciary management external funds. Jae was the architect of the World Bank’s Public Private Infrastructure (PPI) Database, an innovative product which serves as the global market leader in the sector. Jae was honorary SDG Professor of the Ban Ki-Moon Center, Institute of Global Engagement and Empowerment, Yonsei University. She advises international non-profits, including serving on the Boards of the Global Water Challenge, Safe Water Network, and Water and Supply and Sanitation Collaborative Council. She received the 2012 World Bank Good Manager Award. In 2017, she was awarded the Republic of Korea Prime Minister Citation for the Promotion of Gender Equality.
