I am Ibrahim Alharbi. Currently I am a faculty member at the Medical College, UQU, and a consultant of pediatrics and pediatric hematology oncology at King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital and AlHabib Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. I completed pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in 2007. Then I completed Pediatric Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) in 2010 and did Bone Marrow Transplant training at the Hospital For Sick Children in Toronto in 2011. I have research interests in Rare Bleeding Disorders, Hemoglobinopathies, Thrombosis in Children, Platelets Disorders, Leukemia and Solid Tumors in Children. I also have an interest in studying carcinogens, the relationships between environment risk factors and development of cancer as well as role of genetics in predisposition to cancer. I also have an interest in infections and their roles in the pathophysiology of cancer. I am a member of American Society of Hematology (ASH), European Hematology Association (EHA), American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology (ASPHO) as well as Saudi Pediatric Hematology Oncology (SAPHOS).
