Nick leads the research activity at the Centre for Sustainable Water Engineering at The University of Oxford. His work focusses on developing sustainable engineering processes for desalination and clean water acquisition, emphasizing recycle, reuse and resource recovery in a world of diminishing resources, climate change and the drive to reduce environmental and carbon footprints. Nick is Joint Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Water Process Engineering, and he sits on the editorial board of three other journals: Water, Membrane Water Treatment, and Desalination and Water Journal. He is a Chartered Engineer, and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers. He was previously Oxford Director of the Singapore-Peking-Oxford Research enterprise. He has over 7 years industrial experience with Shell Research and Aspen Technology, and 28 years of academic experience in esteemed UK and US institutions. He is Academic Founder and CSO of Seloxium, a Spin-Out Company focused on aqueous metallic resource recovery.
