Muna Khris is the Senior Environmental Innovation Director at Red Sea Global (RSG), a closed joint stock company wholly owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund.Muna co-leads the Environmental Innovation Office (EIO) for The Red Sea and AMAALA, two exceptional, regenerative tourism destinations that aim to set new standards in sustainable development and put Saudi Arabia on the global tourism map.She is responsible for co-orchestrating the EIO's four critical pillars: Environmental Strategies, Business Integration, Strategic Partnerships, and Technology & Approach Assessment. Her approach balances Technical Performance, Financial viability, Socio-Economic impact, and Environmental outcomes to identify solutions where all dimensions align without compromise. She collaborates extensively with environmental departments and research institutions to position the EIO as rigorously objective in its evaluations.With over 25 years of experience spanning mechanical engineering, energy management, and sustainability innovation, Muna brings deep technical expertise across HVAC systems, MEP, energy and water optimization, and sustainable development. Her career spans major Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects including NEOM, where she held leadership roles in energy, cost estimation, and sustainability management, and KAUST, where she led the establishment of the sustainability programs Previously, Muna worked as a Mechanical Engineer in Canada, Jordan and UAE in a wide spectrum of projects in oil and gas, academic institutions, water and wastewater infrastructure design covering rotating equipment, building mechanical and process mechanical. In addition to high efficient green buildings in energy and water.Muna holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology.
