Prof․ Tânia Fernandes

Prof. Dr. Tânia Vasconcelos Fernandes leads the Ecotechnologies for Circular Economy research group at IHE Delft. She is a also a professor at Wageningen University and Research, The Netherlands. She co-developed the innovative Photogranular Technology and actively collaborates with public and private partners to upscale sustainable ecotechnologies that recover resources, improve water quality, and support circular economy transitions. Her work focuses on developing nature-based and circular wastewater treatment systems on microalgae-based technologies, anaerobic digestion, biomass valorisation.
