Wayne Griffith

Wayne Griffith serves as Chief of Staff and Executive Vice President, Strategy and Performance at DC Water. He is a results-oriented utility management professional with over 30 years of experience in the water infrastructure market, specializing in programs that optimize assets, improve revenues, and enhance service levels.Mr. Griffith’s expertise blends industry-leading private sector operations management, niche utility business development, and strategic consulting. Most recently, he led the development and execution of water asset management consulting services for clients of WSP Opus throughout New Zealand.Prior to his tenure with WSP Opus, he implemented a new client development strategy for Veolia North America, where he was responsible for creating utility performance improvement opportunities with major municipal utilities in the western United States. His career also includes senior consulting leadership positions with a public sector utility, technology, and engineering firms, where he developed strategic planning, technology, and advanced asset management projects.Mr. Griffith established his roots in the industry in water and wastewater engineering design and operations for municipal utilities. He holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Temple University and an MS in Environmental Engineering from Michigan State University.
